William, created the Earthshot Prize with the Royal Foundation, last year with it set to be the biggest environmental prize of a generation. Earlier this month, he held a glitzy ceremony at London's Alexandra Palace where he vowed to 'repair the planet' while revealing that the next event will be in US.
The prize takes its inspiration from the Apollo moon landings, nicknamed Moonshot, which helped advance mankind's technological achievements.
It features five categories, or Earthshots - Protect and restore nature; Clean our air, Revive our oceans; Build a waste-free world; and Fix our climate - which organisers say, if achieved by 2030, would improve life for all.

In a rare public expression of emotion, the monarch said it was a 'source of great pride' the important role he played in encouraging people to look after the natural world, and she 'could not be more proud' of the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge who have continued his work.
Earlier today, the royal couple arrived in the Scottish city for the COP26 conference which has brought world leaders together to discuss urgent action on climate change.
The couple were described as a 'real inspiration' to Scouts whom they joined in a workshop about how to lead a greener life.
William and Kate made vegetarian burgers, repaired bicycles, and helped to re-wild a grassy bank with the boys at Alexandra Park in Dennistoun, Glasgow, while world leaders met at Cop26 nearby.
Kate dressed down in black jeans, a black polo neck a khaki green gilet, her favourite pair of £250 See by Chloe boots and a Scouts woggle to meet Cub and Beaver Scouts this afternoon.
The Duchess, who is President of the Scouts and was a Brownie growing up, appeared in good spirits during the outdoor engagement as she beamed and threw dirt as part of a 'wild flower bombing' bombing activity where they joined the children to throw soil packed with seeds onto a grassy bank.
The mother-of-three finished the look with her trusty brown suede See By Chloé boots, which feature leather trim detailing on a round-toe, lace-up base.
The workshop was part of the international Promise To The Planet campaign, which aims to teach 57 million Scouts how to lead more environmentally friendly lives.
Both sporting red poppies on their lapels, the royal couple had travelled to Scotland by train and were driven to the park in an electric Jaguar I-Pace, where they met 20 members of the 105th Glasgow Scout Group.
Fun-loving Kate jokingly threatened to slap her husband's face with her dirty gloves as they made wildflower seed-bombs with the youngsters.
